Greetings recruit, I am commander Aida. I will be overseeing this operation and making sure you get in and out of each mission like you are supposed to. Before we get to that I bet you are wondering what your missions actually pertain to. While I am sure you have already pieced some things together let me tell you the whole story. For centuries stories have been passed down from generation to generation of what dangerous creatures lie in the dark. All across the world each culture has its Chupacabra, it's Sasquach, its Loch Ness monster. But those are just stories we tell to scare our children around a summer's night campfire. So we store those creatures in a special part of our memories. A place where our imagination runs wild with things that scare us and possibilities we know don't really exist…

At least that was true until three weeks ago. All over the world Cryptids, a term coined by the once pseudoscientific subculture of cryptozoologists, have been appearing and causing havoc and confusion. While some Cryptids seem almost diplomatic others are no more than ravenous beasts. To add to the mystery of this occurrence around one week before the first sighting, there was a strange astronomical event. Four large unidentified objects disappeared in the atmosphere. While they could have been meteors they seemed far too large and would have burned up way too quickly. While this may not be related, nothing strange can be ruled out. It is your job, along with your comrades, to collect information on each of these Cryptids and their origins.
